Junior B Hurling, Rd. 3, Championship

Sixmilebridge 0-17
Ruan 0-14

Referee - Aaron Hogg
Venue - Tulla

The Junior Bs had a great win in a tight game against Ruan in Round 3 of the championship in the baking beat in Tulla on Saturday afternoon last.

Having only lost the lead once, and only leading by at most 4 points, the Junior Bs found it hard to shake off a resilient Ruan team and whilst the Ruan forwards threatened quite a bit, the 'Bridge backs were every bit a match for them, Gerry O' Halloran keeping another clean sheet on the goals front.

Tom Forde again in the forwards contributed a couple of great points and caught some great ball in the process. 2013 Junior B winner Paul Corbett added 3 points and was involved in much of the 'Bridge attacks. 1997 All Ireland Minor winner, Stiofan Fitzpatrick showed that age is no barrier once you bring your shooting boots, he put 4 points on the board from play, and had 6 from play in the pevious game. Mike O' Halloran was steady as always on frees and put in a good shift at midfield.

Best for the Bridge were Dara Toomey in the full back line, John Hogan at center back and Corbett and Fitzpatrick in the forwards.

The Junior Bs have one last game to play in the group stages, against Feakle and the result of this game will determine if they proceed to the quarter finals.
