Any boys born in 2009 or 2010 who dream of becoming the next Seadna Morey tune in now ... 17 years ago today a young Seadna pictured above arrived down to U8 training in the Bridge and has since gone on to become one of the most decorated players in our clubs history at the young age of 23. Seadnas speed is something he got in the same shop as Usain Bolt but his skills are something that were nurtured from a young age within the gates on O'Garney Park & Cappa Lodge by the same calibre of coaches who will be in attendance tonight to look after our stars of the future.

Our U8 hurlers are back training tonight at 6PM in Cappa Lodge and we would love to see you all there - be on the pitch for 5:50pm so we can get the introductions completed before getting stuck in to having fun and practicing our skills.

The U8 team will be coordinated this year by David O'Connor (top scorer in 4 parish leagues) and Caimin Morey (senior championship winning captain 2015) and they have a number of coaches lined up for each session. All coaches are requested by the club to complete a child protection course which is being run on May 4th as well as being Garda vetted so your childs welfare is our number 1 priority.

Our ideal situation is to have 1 coach to 6 players to ensure the skills are learned so we would really encourage all parents to become involved - Please don't stand on the sidelines thinking you have nothing to offer, David and Caimin will pair you up with another coach where any help whether it be lining up drills or giving encouragement is essential.

Tonight is the only Friday night session so we can dust off the cobwebs - Training schedule for the year ahead will move to Monday and Wednesdays 6-7PM from next Wednesday onwards.
