U10 Go Games Camogie Blitz
The U10 camogie group took to the field under the lovely sunshine in Clooney Quin last Saturday morning. It was super to see all the girls (with their parents help of course), all there on time & in full Sixmilebridge colours.
On the day, the girls played teams from Clooney Quin & Wolfe Tones. Clooney Quin & SMB fielded 3 teams each with Wolfe Tones fielding 2 teams.
The girls showed great character to dust off their first blitz rustiness & in fairness to them all, as the blitz went on, they got more & more into the games & finished strongly.
The girls gave a super account of themselves throughout each game. All our three teams played 4 matches of 12 minutes each. They played some very competitive games & thoroughly enjoyed the mornings action.
Credit to Clooney Quin for the pitches that were setup, referees in place for each pitch, the smooth transition from match to match & the overall positiveness & respect shown towards all.
These Blitzes are very good tests for our girls & it is fantastic to see the girls taking on board the training, the coach’s feedback & all the skills that they displayed.
Training continues twice weekly for the girls & there will be plenty of blitzes coming for them.
