Sun 14th May 2017

Full time Sixmilebridge 2-12 Inagh Kilnamona 4-11

This league game took place in ideal conditions with Sixmilebridge having home advantage. Inagh got off to a perfect start converting a free 3 minutes in which they followed up soon after with a goal. This set the tone for the first half as they continued to add to their tally until Morey split the posts for the Bridge side. Inagh went on to find target in the Bridge net. At half time Inagh/Kilnamona dominated on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1 point. In the second half Sixmilebridge had the breeze to their advantage. Inagh started well managing another goal. Morey pointed after a pass from Sarah Loughnane at the opposite end. Niamh Lyons went on to hit the back of the Inagh net when she took a shot on goal from a distance. Morey added another point soon after but Inagh bounced back with another goal. Morey put over two more when her shot on goal was deflected and the other from a placed ball. Inagh pointed between the posts at the opposite end. Morey went on to add several more before McGrath took her own shot which paid off. Morey took a shot on goal from the 21 but it lead to a 45 which she converted to a point. The Bridge won a similar free minutes later, Chloe took her chances once more despite numerous Inagh defenders lining the goals, this time she rattled the net.
