Feakle 2-12 v 0-7 Sixmilebridge
Junior B Championship
Round 3 @ Broadford

The Junior B's bowed out of the race for championship honours yesterday afternoon after losing out to Feakle in Broadford. The 'Bridge never got going on the day with Feakle deserving victors as they now join group table toppers Tubber to advance to the last eight.

In a low scoring first half the 'Bridge trailed 0-6 to 0-3 with Errol Touhy, Trevor Maxwell and team captain Michael O'Halloran on the mark with a big improvement needed during the second thirty to salvage any championship aspirations. On the turnover an early score from a Martin Conlon free reduced the gap but Feakle responded with two frees of their own before raiding through for a goal.

The 'Bridge hit back with an inspirational long range score from Eric Lynch and added to this with two more efforts from Conlon and O'Halloran. However, this was as good as it got for the 'Bridge as they were outscored by 1-4 to no score in the final quarter.

This brings the curtain down on 2017 for this committed setup who had twenty two players togged on the day with more than thirty players featuring at different stages throughout the year.
