Our U8 hurlers took part in the last Blitz on the Clare GAA calendar with teams from Whitegate, Meelick, Feakle/Killanena and hosts Clonlara. The Bridge fielded 4 even teams with 32 players togged out in the famed Saffron & Blue of our club.
Head coaches David O'Connor and Caimin Morey commented it was getting easier to pick the teams as the season went on with the huge improvement seen by the so called weaker players who have come on par skills wise with the stronger players. So well done to all the boys and their parents who have put the time in to nurturing the skills. Mol an Óige...
Some highlights on the day included the number of players who can jab lift the ball and strike in the air as well as the odd solo run being executed to get a player out of trouble. Every player rotated across all positions throughput the game and represented the club admiriably on and off the field. Thanks to all the parents who provided transport and more importantly vocal encouragement on the sidelines. Well done to Clonlara on a very warm welcome and hospitality after the game.

Training continues tonight at 6PM in O'Garney Park (Main Field) & at our training complex at Cappa Lodge on Wednesday evening again at 6.
