While December is often seen as a month for playing 45 in the lead up to Christmas in the Bridge and Newmarket, this Saturday afternoon will see the cards cast away as both clubs do battle for the 2017 Clare Cup Final.

The Bridge opened their campaign in this years Clare Senior Hurling League competition back on Friday March 31st with a win against Cratloe, their last game i the league was 130 days ago on August 1st - 253 days later they will play Newmarket in the Final in Clonlara at 1PM. Easy see why there is a motion passed recently to have the Clare Cup completed before championship commences where possible!

While the Bridge are county champions form has really gone out the window coming into this game since it has been 5 weeks since our last competitve game against Ballygunner in the Munster Club. Newmarkets last game was 2 weeks ago when they easily defeated Kilmaley who were coming off a Muncter Club Intermediate campaign.

Wishing the team and management the best of luck on Saturday and hope to see a big crowd down to support the team in what will be the clubs last competitive game of 2017 .... Dont mention the draw word!
