Munster Inter-Firm Junior Hurling Semi-Final
Atlantic Aviation/Molex (Clare) 2-16 H&MV Engineering (Limerick) 0-20

Clare Champions Atlantic Aviation/Molex are through to their first Munster Inter-Firm Junior Hurling Final after getting the better of defending champions H&MV Engineering in a very entertaining semi-final played at UL on Thursday night.

H&MV Engineering started well with a point from Dillon Quirke after 2 minutes. Kieran Morris increased the lead with points on 5 and 7 minutes. Justin Cahill got Atlantic Aviation/Molex on the score board with a point on 8 minutes. H&MV hit back again with points from Sean O'Connor and Quirke to lead by 4 points after 10 minutes. Atlantic got right right back in the match on 11 minutes when Sean Meaney finished well to the back of the H&MV net after a goalmouth scramble. H&MV responded with points from Paul Ryan and Quirke to lead by 3 points after 15 minutes. Cahill reduced the deficit to 2 points with a good point on the run after 17 minutes. H&MV had the lead out to 4 points after 20 minutes with points from Quirke and Michael Connors. Thomas Cleary made it a 3 point game with a point on 21 minutes. Darragh Carey scored a good point from center field to leave 2 points between the sides after 22 minutes. Daire Keane scored a fine point from out near the sideline to leave the minimum between the sides after 23 minutes. It was a level game after 24 minutes when Cahill scored another good point on the run. Carey then hit a long range point for Atlantic after 25 minutes to put them in front for the first time. Wayne McNamara scored a great score from center field to level the match again after 26 minutes. There was no let up in the scoring and Cahill fired over 2 points inside a minute to put Atlantic 2 points clear after 28 minutes. Mark Buckley cut the lead to a point with a good score on the run after 29 minutes. Atlantic hit back again with another good point from Daire Keane. Paul Ryan put over a free on 30 minutes for H&MV to leave it Atlantic Aviation/Molex 1-10 H&MV Engineering 0-12 at half time.

Daire Keane increased the Atlantic lead with a point on 31 minutes. Paul Ryan responded with a point for H&MV on 34 minutes. Darragh Carey scored a point from a free for Atlantic on 37 minutes. Ryan responded again for H&MV with a good point on the run after 39 minutes. A great score from Cian Flanagan who broke from the back and fired over off the hurley on the run put Atlantic 2 points in front again after 41 minutes. Justin Cahill increased the lead to 3 points after 42 minutes after a good turn and shot over the bar. Andy Kinnane pulled a point back for H&MV after 45 minutes. Paul Ryan fired over a point on 47 minutes to leave one point between the sides. Carey replied for Atlantic with a point from a free on 50 minutes. Quirke made it a one point game again with a point on 52 minutes. Carey fired over a great score from his own half on 54 minutes to put 2 between the sides again. Ryan pulled a point back for H&MV from a free on 56 minutes. Michael Connors made it a level game with a good score for H&MV after 57 minutes. Substitute Matthew Kelly got on the end of a long delivery from Daire Keane on 58 minutes and fired past Anthony McKelvey in the H&MV goal to put Atlantic 3 points clear with 2 minutes left. One last attack for H&MV in the final minute saw a rocket of a shot from Wayne McNamara heading towards the top corner of the net but somehow Darragh Carey got his hurley to the shot and saved it over the bar as Atlantic Aviation/Molex held on for a close but deserving win in the end.
