Newmarket got off to a good start as they found target in the ‘Bridge net when registering their first score. They followed this up with a point before Aoibhín McNamara pointed one over the bar for the home side. McNamara later rattled the net. Both teams exchanged goals, the Sixmilebridge goals coming from Róisín O’Grady and McNamara. At half time both sides were level with 3-1 a piece.

In the second half the Bridge dominated with Amy Quinn adding three goals while McNamara and O’Grady continued their form from the first half, adding a further four goals between them. Newmarket added 2-1 to their scoreline but Aisling Morey split the posts before Quinn added her fourth goal of the day. McNamara added a final point to conclude the Bridge tally.
