Bingo in the Sixmilebridge Gaa hall is an institution at this stage, running for almost 35 years now. We can all remember being brought as a kid by your auntie or grandma and we probably all shouted ‘check’ prematurely eagerly wanting to win the cash prizes on offer!

We can all remember the different bingo callers from Pat Quinton Rip to John Corbett to the current bingo caller Adrian Hogan. Familiar also is the sigh from the the hall when the call of check goes up, the rush for the shop at the interval and the cigarette smoke outside the dressing rooms. Getting something in the shop was always a treat and there was always excellent service whether it be from Nora or Ann Chaplin.

Little is probably known about the engine of the club, the club stalwarts who run the Bingo every Monday and check all the lotto entries for winners. The Bingo committee is run by Mary Corbett and the lotto is coordinated by Sean Griffin and there are many more who help out from putting out the chairs, to runningj the shop, checking the lotto and handing out the money.

The Bingo serves the community and gives a social outlet to those who want to meet up each Monday night. The club are delighted to be able to run the Bingo and keep it going but the club now want to make the Bingo bigger than ever and bring more people into the hall each Monday night.

See the poster above for details of the cash prizes on offer and the bus routes available.

We would love to see new faces attending; bring the grandkids, bring the granny or grandad or both!! All welcome...
