Newmarket 1-12 Sixmilebridge 0-14

The Bridge seniors got a dose of the blues on Tuesday evening in round 7 of the Clare Cup when the home side took the lead for the first time with the last score of the game via a goal from Colin Ryan.

The Bridge looked to be well in control having lead 9 points to 7 at half time having played against the breeze. Brian Corry was very dangerous everytime he got on the ball and hit 4 point from play along with good scores from Lynch and Custy.

The loss of Quilligan and Golden unsettled the Bridge and Newmarket powered back into the game at the end with Colin Ryan hitting 1-1 to give the home side a 1 point win.

The Bridge now face Clooney/Quin this Monday in O'Garney Park at 3PM in a repeat of last years county final and will have 1 game remaining in the league following this against Broadford.
