The club is a hive of activity this weekend.

The U6s showed their true mettle last night training through the heatwave to improve their skills, the ice creams at the end may have been the main incentive though!

The U8s has a blitz this morning and the U10s took part in and won the Barry Quinn tournament at O’ Garney Park.

There was also great work done in the field this morning for the big cleanup. There was over 10 ladies who made the Cappa lodge toilets and dressing rooms squeaky clean they were the Camogie senior players and committee members and some old stalwarts did some of the outdoor work such as finishing off the stone wall between the embankment and the car park.

Paddy Meehan and David O’ Meara were at the Cappa Lodge field finishing the drainage work and of course the Arena building is ongoing having started a few weeks ago.

Back at O’ Garney Park, Tim Crowe mixed the mortar, John Corbett and Pj Fitz drew the sand, cement and stone and Christy Craw Murray tended and Jim Chaplin laid the stone! These men were part of the crew who built the hall and boundary walls back in the early ‘80s nearly 40 years ago!

Craw said he was delighted with the turnout and with the big turnout for the Barry Quinn tournament, it was another great day at the club.

A Big thank you to all who helped out today.
