Well done to our U6 Bridge Bucks who are continuing to learn the skills of the game on Friday evenings at 6pm.

The U6s trained right through the busy holiday period catering for those still around! And whilst there have been just over 40 boys in attendance at some stage over the past 12 weeks of U6 training and the Parent & Child nights before that, we are now entering the second phase of the year as school returns, and the Autumn beckons. We are still encouraging any boys from 2012, 2013, 2014 who want to participate to come along on Friday evenings at 6pm. We will be aiming for fun sessions whilst learning the basics of hurling. Beginners are still welcome as we will cater for newcomers as well as those that are a little more advanced.

Next Friday 17th August will mark the the U6s first blitz and Broadford and Cratloe will provide the opposition. At last nights training session, to emphasise that effort is one of the qualities that will be praised, some posters of famous hurlers were given out. The 5 recipients on the first night of this initiative were:

Matthew Murphy

Jack Willis

Daniel Hayes

Oran Casey

Liam Kearney

The posters were of Seadna Morey, Tony Kelly & Niall Gilligan (some of the young lads were wondering who he was but we assured them he was/is a good hurler!).

Thanks to all the coaches and parents that have been helping out over the last 12 weeks and we encourage parents especially to remain involved at training and at home, after all the more praise and encouragement the kids get the better.
