With the weekend of the U16A final upon us we look back on the Silver Jubilee team from 1993 who brought the title back to the Bridge 25 years ago. The team had experienced defeat by Doora Barefield in the U14A final in 1991 and in the early rounds of the U15 championship in 1992 before turning the tables on the same opposition in 1993 when Declan Murphy captained them to victory.

This bunch of lads lost the minor final in 1995 to Clarecastle before winning an U21A title in 1998. Incidentally it was Doora Barefield again in 1998 with the same captains from the U16 final of 1993 and Murphy again lead the side to a replay win over the Noel Brodie captained Doora Barefield.
