There was a Great evening last Friday at the eagerly anticipated U6 Mini Fittest Superstars event.
A Great effort by all 50 U6s on the night first of all in their hurling matches, then on the obstacle course which included;
Hurdles, fences, 4ft wall, pipe crawl, plank walk, log lift. Tyre lift, tyre flip, monkey bars, obligatory Ramp and finally the slippery wet slide!!
The evening was topped off with a fantastic bbq and chat amongst parents , coaches, players and friends in a lovely ending to a fantastic evening. There was some lovely hot dogs, burgers, drinks and all washed down with some Cool Ice creams.
Thanks to everyone that came including parents and players and friends. A Special word of thanks to all those who came early for the setup today, who helped out with the bbq and with the cleanup afterwards. Special Mention to Peter Kearney who provided some of the larger obstacles such as the ramp and 4ft wall etc, downsized from the secret training course from the fittest superstars event a few months ago! Also special mention to Brigid Kearney of the cozy cottage who provided the burgers and hot dogs.
Round 2 will be in the coming months, we will continue our hurling development this Friday evening coming.
