We have 5 teams in action this weekend - Best of luck to all and please come out and support where possible.

Friday 2/August

Venue: Corofin

Time: 5:30 pm

Minor A Championship rd. 2: SMB V Corofin/Ruan

Preview: The Bridge defeated Inagh/Kilnamona while Corofin/Ruan who are many peoples favorites for 2019 beat Doora Barefield who were U16 champions in 2017. This is the group of death with any team of the 5 capable of emerging so it will be a stern test for both sides.

Saturday 3/August

Venue: Cusack Park

Time: 5:30 pm

Senior Championship rd. 1: SMB V Clarecastle

Preview: Under new management the Bridge will be out to impress and make up for the disappointing loss in the cup semi final 2 weeks ago. We will be without stalwarts Aidan Quilligan and Paidi Fitz but will hope our 4 county men come to the fore and our younger lads will follow.

Sunday 3/August

Venue: Ennis

Time: 11:30 am

U16 Championship rd. 2: SMB V Eire Og

Preview: Following an emphatic win over Tulla in round 1 the Bridge will face a bigger task on Sunday away to the Townies. Brian Culberts who has strengthened his management team in recent weeks with PJ FitzPatrick, Ruairi Walsh, Ian Chaplin and Barry Loughnane joining his ranks will hope their experience will help in getting this one over the line.

Sunday 3/August

Venue: Clonlara

Time: 2:15 pm

Intermediate Championship rd. 1: SMB V Smith O'Briens

Preview: Recently crowned Div 2 league Champions, SMB will face one of the championship favorites in the Killaloe outfit this Sunday. As is always the case when facing a clubs first team it can be a huge disadvantage but the Bridge have a strong panel this year and are unlightly to lose any to the seniors so will relish this challenge in Clonlara on Sunday.

Monday 4/August

Venue: Tulla

Time: 14:00 pm

Junior B Championship rd. 3: SMB V Whitegate

Preview: This is a repeat of round 1 of the league where the Bridge fell at the hands of the East Clare side before recovering well later in the league. The garney siders lost to Cratloe in rd 1 of the championship but scored a big win over Clooney/Quin in rd. 2 and while Mikey Corbetts side will have a long weekend wait I'm sure the rewards will be worth it if they get over An Geata Bán.
