The U12 Hurling season rumbles on with a set of challenge games against Clooney Quin in Clooney on Saturday morning. With only 22 players available on the day, we fielded two teams with each team playing 2 eleven aside games. As we had no subs it meant all players got the full 60 minutes game time.

Team 1, captained by Cian McInerney won both their games with impressive displays from Luke Deegan and Rory Chaplin.

Team 2 also had a good day at the office, winning both their games too. Some more strong displays in these games with captain Charlie Keane hitting a hat-trick in the first game and Leon Duggan shining throughout.

Since returning to training a lot of emphasis has been put on catching and this paid off yesterday with 9 players making catches during the games. Leading the impressive displays in this area were Jack O'Halloran and Stephen Gavin. Many other players made attempts at catching throughout the morning so it is great to see the action from the training ground translating to match day.

On a day with a lot of great scores from the boys, this goal (click link) from Stephen Gavin after fine build up play from Dylan Keogh and Donal O'Leary was a great example of the teamwork on display yesterday

Thanks to Clooney Quin for hosting us yesterday. U12 training continues on Wednesday and Saturdays.

Finally congratulations to our squad members Jack McNamara, Cian McInerney and Oisin O'Brien who made their Confirmation this weekend.
