U8 Camogie Blitz Saturday, 26th September 2020

Last Saturday, 26th September finally saw the U8 camogie squad enjoy their first blitz of 2020. A bitterly cold Saturday morning couldn’t stop the girls to get out early and show off their talent in Clooney-Quin. 22 girls formed 3 teams for 9 thrilling matches.

As the teams went head-to-head it was clear that the Sixmilebridge girls have mastered ground hurling. Their striking, clashing, blocking and dribbling skills have came on a lot this season. Pair that up with braveness and fierce determination fuelled by their excellent coaches and their parents’ encouragement from the sideline. As the sun shone bright and warm in the sky so did the girls on the field. Huge congratulations to all of them!

No doubt that you will hear more from them in coming seasons. These girls can’t wait to move the sliotar from the ground into the air where the sky's the limit for their talent.
