Last Saturday 30th July saw the curtain come down on the Under 12 hurling season in Clare. The Minor Club had 3 teams competing in Cusack Park which saw us play 3 very entertaining games. Our 1st and 2nd team played Clonlara, and our 3rd team Ballyea. I am sure all in attendance would agree that the fare on offer was very enjoyable as have been the games played over the last number of weeks. It was great to see the full array of skills on display from all our players in the 3 games. The Club would like to thank the U12 coaches, lead by Jim Fitzgerald with Dermot O’Sullivan, Pat Chaplin, Barry Forde and Brendan O Callaghan for their time and attention in coaching these group of players. A special thanks to the players for their great enthusiasm to learn and compete on the field, and to their parents for their continued support. Thanks also to Sean Chaplin and Ronan Keane for a well-run day and well organised competition. This will not be the last time we will see these boy’s in Cusack Park in the bridge colours so keep the hard work going. All the players will now split to Under 11’s and Under 13’s age groups to continue with their hurling season.
