While this Sunday is the highlight of the national hurling calendar, where supporters from Kilkenny and Tipperary test their heart and blood pressure and neutrals sit back on the arm chair in the hope of witnessing another sporting classic, Sixmilebridge supporters will be well warmed up when the cats and the premier march behind the Artane boys band. The Bridge seniors put their title on the line when they face neighbours Wolfe Tones Na Sionna in Cusack Park at 12:30. The Canon Hamilton winners and Paddy Browne winners of 2015 will both be determined to have the bragging rights when they return to work across the industries of Shannon on Monday morning. The Bridge welcome back Shane Golden to action and will have to be a t their best to curb the twin tower threat of Aaron Cunningham and Shanagher.

Meanwhile or U16 hurlers are currently in action in Clarecastle at 10AM in their championship 1/4 final against the Magpies.
