Part of the junior B camogie team headed off on a bus for a team bonding session to Wild Lands in Galway on Saturday.

To pass the time on the bus there was a couple of rounds of general quiz and a guess who it is quiz. Who knew we had team members that achieved 4 All Ireland medals playing rugby or delivered someone else’s baby on the side of the road or could sleep standing? There is even a player that trained horses and another who played table tennis competitively. After learning that there was someone on the bus with a black belt, an EFR and even 2 lifeguards the team felt safe and relaxed not knowing what challenges lay ahead at Wild Lands.

The Ninja course and big ramps proved to be a hard upper body exercise with holding on for dear life and hysterical laughing, the core got a great workout. Junior B manager Mike believes that the girls are tough as nails so their suffering didn’t end here. They spent another 1.5 hours on the Zip 'n' Trek Course. Mike followed the team from behind and made sure that nothing stayed still while the tired legs tried to finish the course at terrifying heights.

The team will start their league campaign against Wolfe Tones next Saturday, 11th March at 15.30.
