Our U11 Boys mainly made up of 2012 and 2013 born boys have had a busy start to the season with lots of training, coaching and blitzes in recent weeks.

To date all training has been conducted in our arena with the boys getting invaluable attention as they were working with our coaches in the Foundation Level and Level 1 coaching courses.

Trip to Cusack Park

Our first trip onto the turf in 2023 was a visit to Cusack Park to play at half time in the Clare V Cork League game. This is a new initiative from Clare GAA and proved really popular for our 2012 boys who hurled outstanding against the Clarecastle Magpies. Looking forward to plenty more days for these boys in the future at Clare GAA HQ, The anticipation etched on their faces says it all as they wait for the half time whistle in the Senior game ....

Go Games Blitzes

This year we are fielding 3 teams in the Clare GAA Go Games Blitz series - last Sunday say round 1 take place when we hosted Eire Og, Parteen/Meelick and Whitegate.

Na Piarsaigh Visit

Last night we made the short visit across the border to play Na Piarsaigh - Both clubs fielded 2 teams of 11 a side in a very entertaining encounter. One of the highlights for the Bridge was the performance of goalkeeper Lorcan who was the talk of the blitz following some outstanding saves he made throughout. One for the future no doubt.

Coaches

Congratulations to all our U11 coaches who completed the Foundation Level and Level 1 course - We are proud to say 100% of our coaches are Foundation level certified while 75% are level 1 certified while 50% have done the fundamental movement course with Martin Bennett which means the boys are in good hands as we try to develop their hurling and movement skills.

Cathal Malone visits Training

Last week we had a nice surprise when Cathal Malone dropped in on training and had a chat with the boys following by some very interesting questions in the Q&A that followed.

Cathal is the second superstar to visit with Seadhna Morey having called in to see us earlier this year.
