The local championship draws are set to take place at the next county board meeting on February 7th - the provisional date for fixtures for 2017 are:

U21 hurling championship on the weekend of March 11th

Clare Cup is set for the first weekend of April, the same dates as the National Hurling League Quarter Finals and Relegation Playoff.

Senior Hurling Championship on May 13th

No date has yet been proposed for Round Two of the hurling.

The first meeting of the year of the county board heard an application from Sixmilebridge that their Junior A championship winning side be allowed continue at that grade, with this request to be considered by clubs and a decision taken at the next meeting on February 7th.
