Well done to our U8 hurlers who took part in the latest U8 Clare blitz hosted by Ballyea GAA Club on Saturday last playing Ballyea, Corofin, Tulla and Wolfe Tones. The Bridge had a huge turnout on the day and fielded 4 teams so thank you to all the parents who ensured our stars of the future were present.
The report from all the coaches was the players were a credit to the club jersey and their families for the honest effort they put in on the field as well as their behaviour off the field between games. Big improvements can be seen from the last Blitz with the special emphasis on tackling and striking at training really paying off.
Head coaches David O'Connor and Caimin Morey gave the boys a rest from training on Monday so look forward to a high energy session at the clubs training grounds at Cappagh Lodge on Wednesday at 6pm in preparation for the next blitz which will be a super blitz involving all clubs in the county on Saturday July 1st.
Finally well done to host club Ballyea on their excellent organisation and hospitality on the day.
