Venue: Gurteen Sunday 12/03/2017

The Bridge were chasing this game from the start after falling behind following a defensive deflection of a David McNamara free from forty five metres eight minutes into the tie. Newmarket opened up a 7 point lead 20 minutes into the game before  Tiarnan Agnew hit the new with a skillful flick to claw back the score. Colm Fitzgerald chipped in with frees to leave 3 points between the teams at the interval.

Newmarkets David McNamara picked up his second green flag in the opening moments of the second half only for Sixmilebridge to hit 1-04 without reply to force the game to extra-time, Agnew once more struck for goal.
