Sixmilebridge 1-18 Newmarket 1-10

The Bridge delivered a powerful last 20 minutes to turn the tables on last years defeat in this grade to the same opposition with an 8 point win today in Clonlara. Try as they may in the first half the Bridge could not raise a green flag albeit with 6 clear cut goal chances but managed to nail 6 fine points to remain in contention at half time against the blues 1-03. The Bridge introduced Jack Corry in the second half and his goal ensured the Bridge outscored their neighbours 1-08 to 0-03 in the last 20 minutes to setup a semi final meeting with Inagh/Kilnamona.

The win was mainly down to a massive team work rate coupled with some fine point scoring from Lorcan Fitzpatrick and Cathaor Agnew while senior hurler Curley Lynch was a driving force at centre back.
