After 3 rounds the League is really hotting up. Kilmurry are top of the pile, being well organised by their management - it probably helps when a few families make up the bulk of the team! Of the chasing pack Finnachtas and and possibly the Mountain and Cappa seem best placed to challenge for the 2nd Final spot. A big game this weekend sees the Mountain take on Finnachtas which should make the picture clearer going forward. Finnachtas big scoring spree (12-13) against Marys last week could really stand to them yet if teams are tied on points after Round 5. Marys have been unlucky with numbers this year and their fixture this weekend against Cappa will largely to show that they are capable of a decent performance when they have everyone.

The Finals Fixtures are currently being prepared by the Parish League committee. It is likely that there will be a 3 way blitz for the 3 lower placed teams. The objective here is to NOT win the wooden spoon. So no matter your league position in the bottom 3 on the league table after Rd. 5, it will still be all to play for on the final night.

On the scoring front, after 3 rounds of games, Kilmurrys Tiernan Agnew and Adam Murray are in the Top 3 with the Mountains Seamus O' Connell joining them. There has been some wonderful scoring feats over the 3 weeks to date and The Top Scorer Title is all to play for with 2 round and Finals remaining. To be noted - some have played more games than others, but organising committee are promoting lads staying on for games to make up numbers where required!
