U9 Hurling will resume training on Tuesday April 5th at the Main Field at 630pm.

After the Winter break it is great to be getting back to grass once again and the 2013 and 2014 born hurlers will finally have a chance to display all that practice they have been doing over the winter months! With over 50 players, this group have been very enthusiastic in their hurling careers so far right the way from U6, U7 and now U9. We will see some boys moving up to be the eldest in their group and some joining in with the older group having been top dogs last year at U7 so it will be interesting to see them all progress throughout the year.

Regular training slots will be:

Tuesday 630-730pm at the Main Field

Thursday 630-730pm in Cappa Lodge.

There may be some adjustments in the first few weeks due to a planned pitch closure for maintenance, and some Intercounty matches on in the field but we will advise in due course.

There will be County Blitzes at U9 every 2 weeks from weekend of April 10th. Here is the provisional schedule as advised by County Board:

Rd 1 Sunday 10th April

Rd 2 Sunday 24th April

Rd 3 Sunday 8th May

Rd 4 Sunday 22nd May

Rd 5 Sunday 5th June

Rd 6 Sunday 19th June

Rd 7 Sunday 3rd July

There will also be U8 and U10 blitzes later in the year and we will advise of these dates as soon as we get them.

We would encourage any new members to come along and they are more than welcome, we will be catering for all levels.

We have a great group of very enthusiastic coaches rearing to go on Tuesday night so looking forward to seeing all the boys then..!
