Due to a walkover in the third round of the league from Kilmaley, The bridge boys had to once again face rivals Inagh-Kilnamona in a playoff for a spot in the league final.
A low scoring first half from both teams as almost all the scores came from frees for the bridge. Daniel chaplin scoring 3 frees with prescision. The first goal came from a quality ball from Niall Liddanne and a expert finish from Chappy again. Half time score was 1-4 to 0-6 to Sixmilebridge.
The second half was slow with fewer scores. Fatigue and tiredness started to set in after an Inagh-Kilnamona goal. In the last ten minutes the bridge lads seemed to get some hope, with a close shot on goal from Eamon Breen that came off the post. The second goal came from Daniel Chaplin but unfortunately it was too little to late and the final whistle was blown with the final score of 1-12 to 2-7.
The boys will face Clarecastle in Clarecastle on Sunday the 3rd ofApril in the Shield Final.
