While the media was talking about the Munster Hurling Championship starting on Sunday last, it actually began 24 hours earlier with a Clare V Cork battle in Sixmilebridge on Saturday morning when we welcomed Newtownshandrum to the Bridge. Both clubs fielded 3 teams in a morning full of skill, passion and sportsmanship akin to what we expect to see in this years Munster Championship.

Thanks to all the parents who provided food for our hosts and to those who helped with the catering. The U11s like other teams in the club have really embraced the Healthy Club initiative which was started by Damien Landy and is now being spearheaded by Helen Seago with a healthy spread on display.
