Roundup of Adult Teams

Seniors
Sean Stacks Seniors have now 2 wins from 3 outings and heading into Round 4 this weekend where they will play Clonlara in Clonlara at 2pm on Saturday. They have had victories over Inagh Kilnamona and Crusheen whilst they lost their opening fixture to Feakle. The focus certainly has been on giving game time to up and coming players and upwards of 25 players have played with the seniors to date this year. The new management setup and decision of management to give lads a go is certainly having the desired effect and there is now very healthy competition for places.

Junior Bs, 3rd Team
Due to a bereavement in Whitegate, the planned Round 1 game was postponed. Jude Kearneys troops have been busy however with plenty of challenge games in recent weeks and training sessions with coach Terence Chaplin along with the rest of Judes backroom team. Round 2 this weekend will see the 3rd team take on Smith O' Briens at home.

Junior Bs, 4th Team
The Mikey Corbett managed 4th team got off to a great start in Division 5c of the Junior B league with a win over Ballyea in Sixmilebridge on a scoreline of 2-16 to 3-12. Sterner tests will follow and next stop on the road is Clooney Quin this weekend in Round 2.

U19s
The U19s managed by Brian Culbert commenced the U19 league last week with a reconvened Round 1 game against neighbours Newmarket. Although without a number of regulars due to Injuries and unavailability this important fixture was fulfilled, giving game time to players at their own age grade. Unable to field county minors or Celtic Challenge pannellists the competition gives chances to other players. Although the game ended in defeat there was a notable performance from young Ben O' Connell in goals. The 19s will play Round 2 this Thursday against Clonlara away.
