*Sixmilebridge GAA Easter Camp*

135 excited girls and boys togged out in O' Garney Park on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week for our first Easter Camp.

The camp catered for primary school children from u6 to u13 year olds who travelled from near and far. As well as both Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry there were players who travelled from Shannon, Kilkishen, Cratloe, Galway, Dublin and the U.S.A. to avail of the excellent coaching on offer.

The children took part in hurling skills and matches with a large number of fun games and relay races while also practising their fundamental movement skills and making new friends also.

A number of mini blitzes took place after lunch each day where the players displayed the skills they had just learnt or improved on during the camp.

The coaching team included a host of household names from multiple county title winners, All Ireland Feile winners, All Ireland school winners, multiple Cumann na mBunscol winners, schools coaches and club and intercounty hurling/camogie players and coaches including Kevin Lynch, Carmel Peacock, Brian Culbert, Paul Corry, Ian Chaplin, Niamh Lyons, Conor Murphy, Sinead Hogan, Debbie Reddan, Morgan O Connell, David Kennedy, Finia O Brien & Brid Gilligan.

Head coach Jimmy Corbett said "We are very lucky to have so many talented coaches for the camp. Their enthusiasm and session plans kept the players active and entertained all week. A number of children wished the camp was on again tomorrow. Thanks to all parents, grandparents etc. who registered and brought the children to/from the camp."

Thanks to the behind the scenes team John Corbett, Gerry Lyons and John Mullins who had the pitch, toilets and stand in pristine condition for the camp.
