Clare Fm broadcasted from the newly refurbished Parochial Hall in Sixmilebridge last Thursday morning as part of their commitment to visit different parts of Clare and to highlight the different things happening in each area. Morning Focus host Alan Morrissey was joined by a variety of residents from Sixmilebridge and the surrounding area to discuss local issues and the evolution of the community over the years. There was plenty of sport in the discussion with Ian Chaplin giving the overview on Sixmilebridge Gaa Club, Declan Murphy on Community Games and Eoghan McNulty on Bridge United activities.

The quality of the facilities and volunteerism in the parish was very much evident throughout the discussions and it must be said that the offer available sport wise for those growing up now in Sixmilebridge is fantastic.

Guests included Mike Glynn, Paddy Higgins, David Deighan, Eilis O’Nualain, Ian Chaplin, Declan Murphy, Eoghan McNulty.

Councillors John Crowe, Alan O’Callaghan and PJ Ryan also joined the chat along with Tourism Officer for Clare County Council Joan Tarmey and Head of Enterprise, LEO Clare Padraic McElwee.
Cratloe artist Fiona O’Connell closed the show.
