Sixmilebridge were disappointed to come out on the wrong side of a very competitive high intensity Senior championship game in Ruan on Friday night. Sixmilebridge played a great first half and were 1-7 to 0-7 up at half time. Olivia Phelan took a great pass from Aoibhín McNamara on 16 minutes and finished to the net. Chloe Morey and Sarah Loughnane kept the scoreboard ticking over with scores from places balls. Emma Kennedy and Rachel Kelly were outstanding in defence.

Kilmaley started the better in the second half and the game was quickly level and then it was score for score right up until the end of normal time. Kilmaley got the last scores in injury time to take the victory.

All the Bridge players are commended for the effort and work rate on the night in tough weather conditions. Stand out players for Sixmilebridge were Sinéad Hogan, Emma Kennedy, Rachel Kelly, Máire McGrath, Finia O’Brien and Niamh Lyons.
