85 superstars took full advantage of the new indoor Arena this week to enjoy the Minor Clubs Easter Camp and escape the extreme conditions outside.
The camp catered for 6 to 13 year olds who travelled from both inside and outside the parish to avail of the excellent coaching on offer.

The players took part in hurling skills, fundamental movement skills and fun games with break times staggered on Tuesday and Wednesday to allow for matches indoors and outdoors while the sunny sky on Thursday allowed the elder groups take to the open spaces of the Cappa Lodge pitch.

A special mention to coaches Fidelma Kearney, Aidan O' Connor, Chris Naughton, Aoibhinn McNamara, Cilian O' Connor, Carmel Peacock, Seamus O' Connell, Finia O' Brien, May Corbett Sinead Hogan & Kevin Lynch who gave up their holidays or took time off work to make the camp possible.

Head coach Jim Corbett said "We are very lucky to have so many talented coaches in the parish available for the camp. Their enthusiasm and session plans kept the players active and entertained all week. Thanks to all parents, grandparents etc. who registered and brought the children to/from the camp."

Thanks to the behind the scenes team John Corbett, Gerry Lyons and Georgie for having the pitch, dressing rooms and toilets ready for the camp, ClubZap and the Minor Club Committee for their assistance.

The clash of the ash was also to be heard with the clubs hurley swap box providing useful for replacement hurleys.
