Following the quarter finals draw for the Junior A Championship, a local derby fixture was thrown up between the Bridge and Cratloe.
Mark O' Donovan was introduced at full back replacing injured Jason Murphy. At half time the 'Bridge led 1-11 to 0-5.. After 40 mins Cratloe had reduced the lead to 6 points at Smb 1-13 v Cratloe 1-7 and after 50 mins they had reduced the lead by a further point to only 5 points and at full time the winning margin was again 5 points.
Good for the Bridge on the day were Mark O' Donovan at full back, Seamus O' Connell and Dara Casey who scored an exceptional point in the second half against the wind. Both O' Callaghan brothers played solidly and Tommy Liddy worked hard till forced off with a hamstring injury.
The Bridge will now face Broadford in the semi final who they narrowly beat in an exciting final round group game to secure their quarter final spot.
