Senior Schools Hurling starts this week with mouthwatering clash in O'Garney Park on Wednesday

Wednesday sees the start of the Munster Senior Schools Hurling competition and what a mouth watering clash in store in O'Garney Park, Sixmilebridge when St. Flannans face Ard Scoil Rís at 1:30pm. The sides met last week in the Dean Ryan 1/4 final with bragging rights going to the Ennis School and with a large number of All Ireland Winning Minors from earlier this year on show for both sides its definetly not one to be missed.

For the Bridge Matthew O'Halloran, Daniel Chaplin, Niall Liddane, Jack Lee, Don Whitty and Paddy O'Reilly are part of the Ard Scoil panel while Senior debutant for the Bridge in 2023 Fiachra O'Braoin will be expected to start for St. Flannans.

St Caimins CS Shannon senior hurlers are in action at 12 Noon on Wednesday when they face Hazelwood College. Dromcollegher in Wolfe Tones Shannon. The team are coached by 5 times Senior Championship winner Brian Corry and the panel includes 16 of our boys namely Cathal Ahern, Cian Conroy, John Deasy, Killian Downes, Neil Forde, Peter Gilligan, Harry Chaplin, James Lynch, Paddy Lynch, Cian McInerney, Jack McInerney, Mark Mullins, Finn Murphy, Jack O Halloran, Jack Phelan and Calum Phelan.

Our own Dara Fitzgerald will captain St. Josephs Tulla int this years Harty campaign and they open their account against Pobail Scoil Na Trionide, Youghal in Glenroe at 1:30pm.

Best of Luck to all our players and teachers associated with the club in this weeks games - 24 of our boys will be involved across a number of schools for what is a wonderful experience of playing Munster colleges hurling.
