Congrats to Seadna Morey who was outstanding today for Clare against Dublin in winning man of the match with 2 points from play at corner back. Clare trailed by 5 points at half time but used the wind to their advantage to come out on top 0-20 to 1-15. Jamie Shanahan chipped in with points from play while Cathal Malone worked his sox off and laid on a number of scores.
Clare face Waterford in their last league game when the Ballyea contingent are expected to return. Today's results leaves the Dubs side rooted to the bottom of the table, with their away win in Cork their only victory to date.
Cork’s win lifts them up the table, above Kilkenny who need a result against the Dubs in Parnell Park to give them a chance of avoiding a relegation play-off. The Dubs will need a big win on the final weekend, and need results to go their favour elsewhere.
Tipperary are the only side through to the quarter-finals, with the rest of the sides all looking to avoid relegation.
