On a sunny evening in Corofin the Sixmilebridge U14's took on the home side in the second round of the county championship. The first half against the wind was a close affair with great points from the SMB free taker Evan Murphy and Corofin centre forward Killian O’ Connor. Adam Murray and Colin Kelly were both strong in defence allowing the Bridge to go in ahead by 6 points at half time. However this lead was quickly worn away by some strong Corofin play bringing the game back to within 2 points. The bridge subs Oisin Breen, Seamus O' Connell and Conor Murphy made a big impact when brought on and allowed for some excellent scores from Dara Casey and Cian Gleeson. It was a close battle up until the final 5 minutes in which a few great goals helped the Bridge seal the deal on a final score line of 6-14 to 2-8. The Bridge now face Clooney/Quin in the next round in two weeks time.
