Newmarket-on-Fergus 1-15 Sixmilebridge 0-14
Venue: O’Garney Park, Sixmilebridge

A first half goal by Éanna Crimmins proved to be the deciding factor in this closely fought Clare Cup Round 2 game in O'Garney Park on Tuesday evening.

Despite the wet conditions the game was played at a fast pace in a very sporting manner with the Blues leading by 1-07 to 0-06 at the short whistle.

Peter Power was leading scorer for the winners with 11 points while Alex Morey was again top of the charts for the Bridge 1ith 7.

Next up for the Bridge is an away trip to Scariff when they look to get back to winning ways.

A special mention to our U9 Hurlers who played at half time in this tie - All the boys provided great entertainment for the large attendance.
