Last Monday night the Junior As played Tulla in Round 4 at O' Garney Park. Captained by Evan O' Callaghan, the Bridge lost the toss and faced into a very stiff breeze in first half but were unlucky to come in at half time level 0:11 (SMB) to 1:8 (Tulla). There was some lovely passages of play with the ball being moved well through the lines and good running off the ball to create space for some very nice scores – Dara Casey to the fore front in the first half – taking on the Tulla defence at every opportunity

Tulla started much the stronger in the 2nd half and went 2 pts up 10mins into second half. However for the middle 15 mins of the 2nd half the Bridge took over and lead by 4 pts heading into last 5mins – a well crafted team goal finished with aplomb by Fionn Hayes. We had a few scares in the 2nd half but Cian Hogan repelled everything that was thrown at him and the Bridge eventually ran out deserving winners by 1:20 to 1:14. It was good to see Danny Morey getting more game time as he continues his recovery from injury. Also great to see the young lads Paddy Reilly, Jack O' Halloran, Don WhittyCallum Toomey and Harry Chaplin challenging themselves capably by playing at this level.
