What a Bumper schedule of fixtures there is this week!
The Sixmilebridge National School Boys Team are playing no less than 3 rounds of their school hurling competition this week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. A lot of the same boys will be taking part in the U13A and U13 Academy Championship games also with the U13As taking on Ballyea tonight in Ballyea and the Academy team taking on Newmarket on Thursday in the Bridge.
Not to be outdone, the School camogie team are on a great run at the moment, having beaten Crusheen 3-5 to 2-2 IN Rd 1 and Barefield in Round 2. They play Cratloe in Rd. 3 on Friday. Again a lot of the same players will play in the U13A Camogie Rd. 3 Championship game against Broadford Bodyke on Tuesday evening. Here the girls have already had wins against Newmarket and Scarriff Ogonnoloe with the Academy team also performing well against Cratloe and Newmarket.
We have 2 Finals this week with the U18 League hurling final first up on Wednesday night as the boys face Ballyea in O' Garney Park. Best of luck to the team and management. On Saturday the U15A Camogie team are in their championship final against Kilmaley. This final will be played at the home of Clare Camogie, Fr. McNamara Park on the Quin Road, Ennis. Best of luck to all involved here also.
There will also be plenty of competitive action at adult hurling level with all 4 of our mens teams in action. There will also be plenty of action with our U11s playing County Go Games next weekend and some of our other underage teams will also be seeing action with blitzes also.
With over 300 players catered for and over 10 different teams in action it sure will be a busy week!!
