Some great news breaking tonight from St. Caimins Community School in Shannon where Calum Phelan has been named as the school hurler of the year for 2024.
Calum is one of the most dedicated and exciting prospects in the club and when he's not training with his teams in the field he is always seen at games with a hurley and ball pucking around at every opportunity.
He has been part of the Clare development squads since a young age and was an integral part of the Clare Minor team in the Celtic Challenge in 2023. Since then he has moved onto adult hurling with the club and his versatility has seen him fit in very quickly manning the number 6, 8, and 10 jersey on a regular basis and he will surely be in contention for the Clare U20s in the coming years.
Congrats to Calum from all the club and its a wonderful achievement for the club to see the title stay in the Bridge following Mark Sheedys success for the same award in 2023.
Maithú Calum.
