Our U12 Hurlers were on the road early on Saturday morning to Newtown Shandrum for the Chris and Brian Morrissey tournament.
The North Cork hurling stronghold are so proficient at organising blitzes that they even had the good weather booked in for the day and what a feast of hurling we had with teams from Kilkenny, Clare, Cork and Galway taking place.
The 'Bridge boys had 2 even teams in the competition with combined scores counted resulting in a very close and fair competition.
We played Portumna (Galway), O'Loughlin Gaels (Kilkenny) and the hosts Newtown Shandrum (Cork) in our games.
Thanks to the host club for the warm welcome and hospitality throughout the day and Ice Creams were a very welcome reweard for the boys after 4 great games in the heat.
Thanks also to the parents who travelled and supported the boys.
