Junior B League Round 7
Sixmilebridge 4-17
Smith O' Briens 2-15
Venue - Killaloe

Mikey Corbetts Junior Bs have reached the Division 5 League Semi Final after a win in the final round of the League against Smith O' Briens. This was a reverse of the championship match last year where the Killaloe men were the victors. A draw or win was required to ensure the Junio Bs reached the semi final. The Juniors had lost their previous game to neighbors Cratloe but had won the game prior to that against Ballyea. They finished Top of the Table in their group Division 5b.

At half time the Bridge trailed by 2 points on a scoreline of 0-10 to 2-6 but a blistering second half performance saw them run out as winners in the end thanks to 4 second half goals from David O' Connor (2), Finn Murphy and Paul Corbett.

Best for the Bridge on the day were the ever consistent Paul Corbett at midfield, Brendan Carey who adds serious pace to the full back line, David O' Conor at center forward who is still getting in the scores and Conor Murphy on the wing from frees and play. Great to see Conor Morey making a return to playing action after a long lay off due to injury.

Ballyea 3-16
Venue - O' Garney Park

A good win for the Junior Bs in Round 5, having been behind by 6 points at half time on a score line of 3-9 to 0-12. Best for the Bridge on the day were Paul Corbett who now that he is on the teachers holidays will be training full time for the Junior B Championship! Also Alex Frost, the former Ard Scoil Ris player and Robert Conlon played well. Good to see John Hogan returned from his travels also.
