Kilmurry National School ran a lunch time hurling league for the last two months with mixed teams from classes 3rd to 6th. This was a great experience for all kids involved and shows you can be of any skill level to take part and enjoy the sport. Well done to all on a great year hurling and camogie in the school. A big thank you to the staff of the school who put in so much work into the kids during the year and encourage sport at all times. Here is a short report on the exciting final written by the students.

Today, Tuesday 25th June was the final of our school lunchtime hurling league. The teams that made the final were Cork and Tipperary. The game started off with Donnacha scoring with the first touch. Soon after Makar scored to make it 2-0. Then Michael got a goal back, but Donnacha got another goal to finish off the first half. In the second half Ben scored twice make it 3-3! The game then went to penalties!  Cork won the penalties with Ben scoring the winning penalty and won player of the match. In conclusion, the school hurling league was a fun experience for everyone!
