The ‘Bridge started the first half with aid of a strong breeze. It was a slow start to the game where scores were hard to come by.  

Some frees from Cillian Murphy and a low range score from captain Zak Phelan kept the score level. 

Neil Forde got a great individual score just before halftime which gave the ‘Bridge a lead at halftime on the score line; SMB 0.7 Ballyea 0.6.

Ballyea with a strong breeze in the second half, thus the ‘Bridge boys found it hard to break down. It was score for score with the ‘Bridges scores all coming from the free taking of Cillian Murphy. Sixmilebridge led by 13 points to Ballyea’s 11 points with 9 mins left. Ballyea struck for a goal which found the back of the net. The ‘Bridge lads fought hard to the end to see level but fell short. Great performances from John Deasy & Neil Forde was seen on Wednesday. 

Final score 1-12 to 0-14.
