U10 Camogie Update
The U10 camogie group continue to train twice weekly with a healthy mix of fun, skills development, fundamental movement & blitzes in their schedule.
Over the past few weeks, the U10 girls have taken part in two blitzes. These both took place over a short 3-day period.
Due to the time of year, some of the coaches & girls have decided to head off to the Canaries & France for some warm weather training camps while the rest of us left behind get to experience lovely wintry conditions in June!
June 27th Blitz V Clarecastle –
The girls took to the new Astro field in Clarecastle last Thursday. In very tough conditions with Gale force winds & the waterfall above our heads, both clubs fielded 3 teams each & everyone to their credit played 3 competitive games. Girls are looking forward to welcoming Clarecastle for a return blitz in the coming weeks.
June 29th – 3rd Go Games Blitz –
Last Saturday we took part in the third round of the “Go Games” scheduled blitzes. This saw us travelling to the hosts Parteen where we played Parteen Meelick, Inagh & Corofin.
All teams fielded 2 teams each with each team playing 4 games throughout the hours action. Again, all teams can be very proud of what they displayed in some wet & cold conditions.
The coaches continue to be impressed with the development & attitude of the girls. Training continues for all the girls with more blitzes coming up & hopefully a lot of the girls will be attending the Morey & Cul camps too.
