Our Junior Bs opened their championship campaign against Smith O' Briens in O' Callaghans Mills last weekend. A repeat of the same fixture last year, however the result went the Bridge mens way this time rather than the Killaloe men.
Regular goalkeeper Gerry O' Halloran was in New York getting rehab on a recent neck injury but hopes to be back between the posts soon.
The Bridge were by far the better team on the day running out as winners easily. There will be sterner tests as the championship progresses. Best for the Bridge on the day were Morgan O' Connell in the backs, Mike O' Halloran at midfield and young Don Whitty who contribute 1-03 having come on as a sub.
Next up for the Junior Bs are Tubber who they will take on this Saturday at 12pm in Clooney.
