As the year is drawing to a close, so too did the camogie year for our under 10 girls.

Since February, the girls have been training & participating in blitzes with our final session taking place on the 19th of December.

It has been a long year but a very positive year at that.

The girls loved having the title of the last U10 camogie team in the country to be still in training!.

We have been in the arena all year for our trainings & our wonderful facility of the indoor arena allows us to train this long into the winter.

Throughout the year the girls have some great numbers & activities behind them –

* 30 x Registered players with an average of 22-24 attending most sessions & blitzes throughout the year

* 55 x Training sessions completed

* 13 x Blitzes participated in

* 5 x counties of teams played – Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork & Galway

* 5 x Other major activities – Cul Camp, Morey Camp, Halloween Party, Winter training program & Bag packing event

* 12 x Coaches who supported them throughout the year with their development

*Main highlights –*

* We attended a tournament blitz out in Bruff in Limerick where the girls had the tag of representing "Clare" for the day which they thoroughly enjoyed & performed very well.

* Bee Loughnane Tournament

* Camps received very positive feedback

* Halloween party was attended in super numbers & was a thoroughly enjoyable evening

*Coaches efforts & focus -*

* We as coaches have really focused on the basic skills & fundamental movements, while ensuring this was done in a positive & fun way for the girls.

* Main Skills worked on were – Striking, Jab & Roll lifts, Soloing, Catching & Movement.

*End of Year Thank You –*

*Coaches –*
A Massive part of a successful year comes down to the helping hands. A massive thank you to all the coaches who assisted this year. Too many to mention but their help, input and overall training skills towards the girls has massively helped in the progressive development of the girls

*Camogie Club –*
Thanks to the camogie club for their full support on anything throughout the year on anything the U10 group looked for

Specific mentions to
* Training slots (Ann)
* ClubZap Articles (Elaine)
* Support Funds (Caroline)
* General Updates (Catriona)
* Camogie gear (Tom)
* Overall support (Eileen)

*Parents -*
Thanks to all the parents who bring the girls to the training & blitzes. A good few also supported various camogie fundraising events throughout the year.

*Special mention to a few extra people –*
* Mairead Sheedy for her weekly support at trainings on the famous or infamous “Toilet Breaks”

* Terrance for organising the Halloween party

* Nollaig Gallagher & Jill Phelan for representing the U10s on the camogie fundraising group

* Sam Edbrooke for organising the end of year Hoodies

*Going forward –*

Skills development is still going to be a huge focus for the girls in 2025.
The easier they can play the game, the more they can enjoy it.

It’s also great to see and hear the schools coaching is fully back up and running. This also will lead to long term success

*Overall –*

Training, the blitzes, coaches, parents and camogie club support have been excellent throughout the year and we couldn't be happier as a U10 group.

Finally, the girls are an excellent bunch to deal with, very respectful & easy to manage.
They have all developed their skills and have applied themselves extremely well.

Happy Christmas to everyone & roll on 2025.
